If you’re in the mood for some fast cars and fast talking be sure to check out the Vicari Auto Auction at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention Center.

Doors opened to the convention center at 9 a.m. Friday and they’re bidding off 160 cars and 120 collectible items. They’ll also have plenty of ‘no reserve’ items meaning they must sell regardless of price.

If you can’t attend the auction in person, you can still participate by watching the live stream on their website and placing your bid over the phone.

The Vicari Auto Company was concerned that the weather would wash away their plans, but everything is rolling as scheduled.  Vicari Auction Company CEO Pete Vicari said, “I’m from Louisiana and I live here in Biloxi and it’s a shame for the people that live in Lafayette and Lake Charles, especially it looks like they’re gonna get a double whammy and my heart goes out to them.”

The auction continues on Saturday with doors opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m.
