Another 4 ATVs Off The Streets Thanks to BPD and the Auto Theft Unit - Live Boston

autosoto.blogspot.com

At approximately 19:15 hours, in the pouring rain, Boston Police’s Auto Theft Unit, with assistance from Officers in District B-2, arrived to 34 Creston Street, in Dorchester, to recover four illegal ATVs as part of the ongoing effort to address public safety complaints and quality of life concerns relative to large groups of recreational vehicles that have been plaguing Boston’s neighborhoods including dirt bikes, ATV’s, mopeds, and motor scooters.

Units arrived to the address and found at least four of these illegal vehicles within the perimeter of the property. They were confiscated, loaded onto a trailer, and towed away. Despite the terrible weather conditions, one resident felt it necessary to display her disliking toward the actions of law enforcement (pictured below), who were simply doing their job to keep the peace on the city streets. Consequences to the owners of the vehicles have not been confirmed.

Community members with information relative to the storage or reckless operation of these recreational vehicles who wish to assist in these investigations anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to assist this investigation in an anonymous manner.
