Longmont officers investigated an auto theft Thursday morning in the 800 block of Elliott Street. Officers recovered the vehicle from Antero Drive and Lashley Street, and the city of Longmont returned the car to its owner. Longmont officers sent the case to the Detective Division for a follow-up.
A meter reader in Longmont was bitten by a dog while checking meters on Thursday. The dog is on bite quarantine.
Wednesday, Longmont officers performed a welfare check near Timm Way and Zlaten Drive. A man was seen and heard screaming from a pickup. After officers conducted an investigation, they placed the man under arrest for alcohol-related traffic charges.
Longmont officers on Wednesday were called to an outside assist for the Denver Police Department on a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2300 block Zlaten Drive. After investigation, officers recovered the stolen vehicle and it was released to its owner.
