1. How long have you owned your business?

We’ve been here since May 2001.

2. What inspired you to own this business?

When I was 15, I bought a rusty old car. I didn’t want to drive it that way, so I restored it. Next thing you know, I woke up and own a body shop. I do a job I enjoy doing. Lots of satisfaction.

3. What makes Midland a great place to own a business?

Great community. I’ve always felt it’s a protected community. Everybody looks out for everybody. Doesn’t have all the craziness the rest of the world does. We live in our own little bubble. Nice community to raise a family and do business in.

4. What are some ways your business is active in the local community?

We do a lot of work for the City. Help maintain their vehicles. Before COVID, we were involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We’ve been donating a big-screen TV for the raffle for Make-A-Wish. Always buy a table at their annual event. We try to help people when we can.

5. What are some of your interests and hobbies?

I like restoring cars. I like sports cars. I still ski every year. I like to go hunting and fishing. Fish for salmon and coho. Like to hang out with my family, my kids, and grandkids.

6. What are some local businesses you work with that help make your business a success?

City of Midland, City garage. Circle K Service, we help with vehicles for Dow. We do fire trucks. Just did one from the other side of the state, from Pentwater. We’ve helped a lot of the local businesses with their vehicles: Tri-City Remodeling, Brandle Roofing, Ingersoll, Central Ceiling, and Blasy Electric.

7. Other thoughts?

I’d like to thank the community for their years of patronage to my company. Made a lot of friends and met some really cool people. Hope to keep it going for as long as I can.
