GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Michigan International Auto Show is returning to DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids this week.

The event, which is expected to feature new vehicles from over 20 manufacturers, describes itself as the “greatest annual opportunity for the public to view their next new car.” Attendees can sit inside cars, trucks, SUVs and more to “see how they feel when it comes to leg room, interior height, dash design and storage.” Those who stop by can also learn about the latest technology trends as well as safety amenities, eco-friendly options and more.

The event, sponsored by Gentex and Grand Rapids New Car Dealers Association, is taking place Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 3-6, at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Ave. NW.

Tickets, which can be purchased online, are $12 adults and $5 children aged 6 to 14. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free.

In addition to new cars, the event is set to feature an array of specialty and classic vehicles.

That includes a 2020 Ferrari 812 Superfast, a 2017 Porsche 991.2 Turbo and a 2014 Audi R8. A “heavily modified” Chevrolet Silverado, built by Gentex, will also be on display, as will a host of classic cars from the Gilmore Car Museum.

The Million Dollar Motorway will also feature several high-end performance vehicles, including a 2022 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo Sedan, a 2022 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Convertible, and a 2020 Rolls Royce Phantom Sedan.

This year marks the return of the auto show to Grand Rapids after it was canceled in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Paid parking is available underneath DeVos Place as well as a parking garage across the street from DeVos Place. Attendees can also park for $2 at Dash Lot Area 9 on Seward Avenue NW and take a free trolley to DeVos Place. For more information on parking can be found here.
